Sing Sing Singapore!

Road to Singapore

While on a mission to get our work Visas finalized, the Tice family enjoyed the sights and sounds of Singapore. We enjoyed our two story loft overlooking the city, walking distance to the beautiful Singapore River. Singapore is a clean and green city with many beautiful sights to take in. It was a nice respite from the polluted and convoluted Jakarta.

We decided not to bring our pack n' play, which proved to be a fateful mistake. Pea slept inbetween us resting the majority of her body on Andrea's face and her feet? Well, her feet were rapidly kicking me in the face all night long. On top of the nights, Pea didn't nap until our last day in Singapore. We literally danced in the street when she finally fell asleep. It was a fantastic trip, don't get me wrong. But we were quite fatigued upon our return.

The highlight of the trip was taking Pea to the Singapore Zoo...we saw many animals we had never seen before including the probiscus monkey pictured below.

The "Jimmy Durante" of monkeys.

This bizarre creature is called a deerpig...a common anscestor of both Bambi and Babe.

I think this might be where Sigfried and Roy shop.

That is an Emu, but they are all birds to pea.

The elephant shots are all dedicated to Juju, Pea's wonderful Aunt and namesake.

Elephants make excellent traveling partners as they have plenty of "trunk" space.

Fantastic day with Pea.

Giraffes.

Never seen zebras before!

Is a naked Zebra a "striper"?

Pea being Pea.

Fun day shopping in China Town. Very cool place to go if you ever go to Singapore.

Still no nap???

Chopsticks are quite entertaining.

Right outside our loft hotel. What a gorgeous city!

Went to a Tapas bar right on the river.

The river was home to many turtles and fish.

A ridiculously delicious meal of seafood paella at Octapas while Pea finally took a nap. It was a great ending to a great trip.
